Nynashamn Stockholm is a port of call on Baltic Sea itineraries concentrated from May through October, with Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania among the lines calling there.
Nynäshamn sits on Sweden's southeastern coast, a small harbor town surrounded by the pine-fringed islands of the Stockholm archipelago. Its low-key waterfront and modest scale make it an easy point of arrival rather than a destination in itself, with the town center and harbor promenade within easy walking distance of the pier for those who wish to stretch their legs before heading onward.
The town's main draw is its proximity to Stockholm, roughly an hour's journey north by road or rail, where canals, granite islands, and centuries of Nordic history converge in the capital's old town and museums. Travelers who linger in Nynäshamn itself find a relaxed seaside atmosphere, modest shops, and views over the archipelago's scattered islets, a fitting first or last impression of Sweden's maritime character.
